Most of us have this notion that exercise is only applicable to those who are losing weight which is very wrong. Exercise in fact is applicable to each and everyone. Just because you are slim doesn't mean you don't have to exercise. Children and older people can benefit from exercising daily. Well if you still have some second thoughts about exercising, here are some of its benefits.
1. People get fat because they pile up more and more unused calories. In case you don't know, fats are calories that get piled up because our bodies have no use for them. If we don't do anything, the more and more calories are added to that pile and the next thing we know we can no longer fit into our favorite pair of pants.
To keep this from happening we should exercise daily. Exercise use calories to keep us going, so the more we exercise the more calories we burn. Doing this will surely help us maintain a normal body weight.
2. Can you imagine your leg in a cast? Can you imagine your arm on an arm sling? The two scenarios can take place if you break your bones. Bones are essential to our physical structure because it provides the shape of our body at the same time act as support. Without bones, we can barely move. Bones can be fragile but we can keep it strong and prevent injuries by exercising daily.
Studies have showed that constant physical activity increases bone mass. Exercise is also beneficial for growing children because this will stimulate their bones to grow more.
3. You wouldn't want to have flabby arms and thighs now, do you? Well that is easy. All you have to do is work on them by exercising. Constant exercise will help you develop muscles as well as keep them strong. Muscles burn calories because these are active metabolically, meaning that the more muscles you have the more calories you burn.
4. Believe it or not you can achieve better looking skin just by exercising daily. This happens because exercise improves blood circulation which allows your body to get rid of harmful and skin damaging toxins and at the same time provide the much needed nutrients for your skin. Exercise also increases oxygenation which is essential for collagen production, meaning that the more collagen, the plumper your skin gets.
5. Find yourself lapsing mentally? Well, that can be a result of poor blood circulation in your brain, meaning that your brain is not receiving enough oxygen. In order to function at its best, your brain needs a constant supply of oxygen and other nutrients and this can only take place with good blood circulation. Daily exercise can help improve blood circulation to the brain. When this happens, the brain gets enough oxygen and nutrients. Then you can say bye-bye to poor mental performance.
6. If you don't want to get sick all you have to do is exercise. It is believed that daily exercise boosts your immune system. With your immune system in tip top shape, it will be able to keep you protected from disease causing bacteria and viruses.
7. Daily exercise is also a good way to relieve stress simply because it helps release hormones and chemical compounds that will help you to relax and reduce tension.
Make exercise a part of your daily routine and you will be amazed at its effects. If there is enough reason not to exercise there are more reasons as to why you should exercise.
