Four Positive Effects Of Alcohol

Various types of drinks are always present at parties no matter how simple it may be. Having a drink during a party seems to add more fun to the celebration and it actually makes people go wild.

People in parties tend to take in more alcohol than they are supposed to. Too much alcohol in the body has a wide range of effects depending on how a person reacts to it. You usually notice this when a party has reached its peak and is about to commence. When the celebration has reached this point, you start to notice people experiencing some slur when talking and some problems when it comes to balance. And worse, you see some people actually throwing up in the bathroom. Alcohol is not that bad. It only looks bad when you have too much of it.

We've also noticed that women tend to drink less as compared to men. Men have the tendency to take in huge amounts of alcohol while women are the exact opposite (for some that is). They either take a very small amount or nothing at all. There is really no need to worry as studies have showed that drinking the right amount of booze can help boost your health.

1. When you drink you always feel like going to the bathroom and taking a leak. This is actually good since it allows your kidney to get rid of most of the alcohol that you just took in. The reason why this happens is because alcohol keeps the anti-diuretic hormone, the hormone that keeps you from urinating, from doing its job.

2. Women just like men are prone to stroke. Strokes are caused by a clot or high blood pressure. People with high blood pressure possess blood that has a consistency that is thicker than the usual. Alcohol can take the role of a blood thinner. It thins the blood allowing it to flow more smoothly thus decreasing the blood pressure. In addition to this, alcohol also boosts up your good cholesterol and keeps the bad cholesterol at bay. With everything combined it will decrease your chances of having a stroke.

3. To those who are diabetic this can serve as good news. Some studies have showed that taking in a small amount of alcohol improves the body's reaction to insulin. Insulin is the hormone that keeps the blood sugar at an acceptable level. With an improved response to insulin, your blood sugar will be more controlled and it keeps you from storing too much glucose which can be fatal especially for those who are diabetic.

4. Alcohol also improves your metabolism. Although we've noticed that most alcoholics tend to have these huge waistlines, mind you some studies have showed that by taking in small amounts of alcohol your metabolism tends to work faster. With metabolism working faster, more fat is being burned.

Drinking alcohol isn't all that bad; it has its benefits too. So for women who have doubts about taking in booze, think about the benefits but remember to drink alcohol moderately.
