Four Causes Of Vaginal Reaction

A male and a female is like a puzzle; each holds a piece that will complete them when brought together. During intercourse every single barrier is broken down and both man and woman are vulnerable.

Sex is more than just pleasing your partner; it is an expression of love and care. When done the right way both can end up satisfied and pleased. Unfortunately not all women can experience this state of euphoria after each love making. In fact, they can't even go through the whole process.

It is widely known that there are some medical conditions that can hinder one from experiencing the joys of sex. These medical conditions can affect both either the men or women. The conditions can either be genetic or acquired but either way having such will serve as a hindrance to achieving satisfaction.

One such condition is vaginismus or vaginal reaction. Vaginismus is the extreme tightening of the vaginal muscles causing the vaginal orifice to close and at the same time make penetration impossible. There are various reasons as to why some women have this condition and some of which are briefly discussed below.

1. Sexual abuse

Women who experience being sexually abused are usually traumatized by this experience. After the incident, they have the tendency to view sex in a different way. Most women who have been abused when they were kids will most likely have a rocky sexual life. The memory of what happened to them is so strong that even if the sex is consensual, the act itself will serve as a reminder of her horrific experience. The tightening will serve as a reflex and at the same time a form of protection.

2. Social factors

If she was raised with people telling her that sex is taboo, vulgar and wrong, that belief will forever be imprinted on her mind. Living in a liberated world, she will surely try to fit in but with that belief in her head, performing such an act will cause her to feel extremely guilty. The guilt will cause her to tighten her vaginal muscles preventing penetration.

3. Uncontrollable fear of pain

Misconceptions can also cause a vaginal reaction. Young girls were always told that the first sexual intercourse is really painful since the hymen will be torn upon penetration. If this belief is not fully explained to these girls they will grow up fearing the pain. Fear can spiral out and due to this, a girl who is so scared with the said “painful first time” will willingly or unwillingly contract her vaginal muscles closing the orifice.

4. Fear of pregnancy

When the act is done without adequate protection, it is but natural for a girl to get scared. Unplanned pregnancy is every girl's greatest fear when engaging in sex. This fear might bother her so much causing her extreme anxiety which then would result for her vaginal wall to close.
