Four Tips On Vitamin Medication
Your body needs vitamins and minerals daily. More than often, the body loses essential vitamins whether it is in its exertion or rest. With the current trend and method when it comes to processing food, you are not able to replenish the needed supplements of the body. That is why you need to take vitamins and supplements in order to keep the homogenous balance needed by the body for its proper functioning. Here are some tips on vitamin supplement medication.
1) See a doctor.
Self-medication is one of the leading causes of injuries and illnesses. So before undertaking a vitamin regimen, it is imperative that you see a doctor first to determine your body's condition. A simple blood test and an examination by a medical practitioner would determine the overall condition of the body. This is the first step towards wellness and must be done prior to any activity to ensure that the body is to be assisted rather than harmed.
2) Take only what is prescribed.
Everything must be taken in moderation, as the old adage dictates. Though there has been no recorded medical case of vitamin medication overdose, you must only take the prescribed amounts and dosage. Vitamin supplements are synthetic; the body needs to process it when it is not needed and cannot be stored. This taxes the kidneys and the liver and would defeat the very reason for taking the vitamins which is to assist the body processes. So take the amount of vitamins that are only prescribed. Do read the labels of the medications that you take.
3) Find other ways to supplement the body's needs.
Not all vitamins can be taken in the form of a pill. Many vitamins can be naturally found. Simple things such as eating more vegetables (fresh and not the ones from a can) would allow the ingestion of more vitamins. Green leafy vegetables, like the ones shunned when you were a kid, provides a whole host of vitamins for the body. Eating more fruits also gives the body the essential vitamins and amino acids for vital bodily processes. Even simply soaking up under the sun would provide the necessary phytochemicals for the body's everyday use.
4) Exercise regularly.
Exercise not only provides the body the means to burn up excess fats, it also helps the body internally produce the chemicals such as endorphins for good use. Simple walking and breathing exercises declog the lungs to allow the intake of oxygen and speeds up the processing of ingested vitamins. Not only are you able to burn excess fat, but essential vitamins are produced when exercising.
The above steps are but simple ways to help the body in these very trying times. With all the pollutants and the processed foods, the body is starving for vitamins and minerals essential for its daily functions.
You must take an active role in supplementing the body's needs for essential vitamins and minerals. By undertaking a check up, ingesting only what is prescribed, having a pro-active diet and regular exercise, you would be able to live a healthy lifestyle.
