Four Solutions To Remove Stretch Marks
Pregnancy is a wonderful experience for every woman and as one beauty contestant remarked, “It is being able to fulfill one's essence as a woman.” After you gain weight which is of course unavoidable, you get what every woman is also trying to avoid during the course of pregnancy and that is stretch marks. Even a person who simply gains weight can noticeably have stretch marks on a specific part of the body.
Stretch marks are inevitable and you should not resent yourself for gaining weight especially during pregnancy. It is indeed a big challenge to trim down to your desired weight at its aftermath. What can be done to reduce the appearance of stretch marks after such a time?
• A surgical procedure that utilizes laser is assuredly the most helpful method these days because it facilitates the removal of these marks. It has also been noted that scarring is not visible to the naked eye because it comes in contact with the skin at a certain depth. This procedure is also known as chemical peeling which is the peeling off old skin affected by the stretching. Just a caution on those having a darker complexion if you want this treatment because this is not going to be a friendly operation for you. Ask an expert first before getting this treatment.
• Zinc is important to the body during this period and it is a must to include it in your diet by eating nutritious foods such as fish and nuts of which zinc content is higher as compared to other foods. Foods that are rich in vitamins specifically E, A and C are also good sources for minimizing your stretch marks. Don't forget to drink tons of water and fresh juices to keep the skin hydrated.
• Moisturizers are excellent solutions if you are restrained by the cost of the surgical treatment. Check for contents of vitamin E and other exfoliating agents. Oils like the typical ones for babies as well as olive oil have also been good examples to moisturize the skin intensely and it can penetrate into the layers where it has lost its moisture. Applying these oils especially on new or recent stretch marks can be continued until results are evident because the oils work better at this time. Look for moisturizers that contain aloe vera, cocoa butter and jojoba extracts, as these are helpful agents as well.
• For temporary relief, apply some corrective foundation that resembles more of your skin color to hide these stretch marks. This can be done on the most visible parts of the body when wearing a dress for instance.
It takes time for stretch marks to totally leave the memories of gaining weight. Avoid being overly too concerned however and live the joys of being a mother taking good care of your newborn. The mother's inner beauty is much more important than what is on the outside. Follow your daily regime on a regular basis and eventually you'll notice them gone until no visible marks are there. Don't let it get under your skin though!
